For the past 2 years, we've gathered together with aspiring farmers looking to learn about chicken farming best practices. Come together to meet, collaborate, share experiences, and learn from each other. This intimate environment has allowed for a relaxed anti-conference feel creating space for amazing connections and beautiful relationships to develop.

In 2018, chicken farmers Robert & Quaymberley Patson founded HLF Happy Chicken Workshops to fulfil their desire to step away from their computers and phones to learn, share experiences & collaborate alongside passionate farmers. With more than 10 combined years of industry experience, Robert & Quaymberley curate HLF Happy Chicken Workshops as a must-not-miss event.

Happy Chicken Farming Workshop is a one day course on ethical chicken farming. We show you how to set up your homestead to farm chickens for breeding. Learn about incubating, hatching and raising chickens successfully. Learn how to raise layers as well as meat chickens.

Expect a Farming Starter Bag + the Happy Land Farm book plus our famous farm-style egg roll for breakfast and Swazi chicken potjie for lunch (made with our farm chickens).

Cancellation Policy
For cancellations prior to the date, a refund will be granted minus a 50% charge. For cancellations after the date, no refunds will be granted. Make an EFT the night before to secure your place.

Once your registration is complete, we'll match you up with a the attendees to give you a chance to find out about their farming practices and to network. We have a few ice-breakers so that everyone gets to know everyone!

LEARN

We introduce chicken farming to you during the first session with a seminar led by Robert. A second seminar called "Growing food for your chickens" will be led by Theo from Glen Seeds. We break for a snack and then the second session will be a hands-on experience on incubating, brooding and raising chickens.
