Swaziland September 2017 – Chickens At the Dip

Chickens At the Dip

We went to Swaziland for a quick mini-break weekend in September 2017. As a farmer I love to meet other farmers and see how their farms run. The farm we stayed was called Young's Farm. They had chickens and cows living together in harmony. These photos were taken at the dip at the bottom of the valley.

These free-ranging chickens are a mix of different breeds. They just live off the land and are low maintenance. The men that work at the dip collect eggs and  once in a while catch a chicken for lunch.

Look at this mama and her chicks. Notice the fluff on her head, like a Silky.
